Dementia Awareness Training Brings Our Care Community Together

At Care & Carers, we believe that excellent care begins with exceptional people—individuals who are genuinely compassionate, listen with empathy, and support one another like family. This week, our care coordinator and dementia champion, Sarah Brereton, led an inspiring Dementia Awareness Training session for a group of our dedicated carers.

Learning Together, Growing Together

The training session brought our team together to share experiences, learn new skills, and build confidence in supporting people living with dementia. Sarah led the session with warmth and passion, helping everyone understand not only the medical aspects of dementia but also the emotional journeys of those affected and their families.

Through stories, discussions, and practical examples, our carers explored how small, thoughtful actions can make a significant difference in someone's day. We believe that by gaining a better understanding of dementia, we can provide care with more patience, kindness, and respect.

Empowering Our Amazing Carers

Our carers are at the heart of everything we do. Their dedication to learning and supporting one another makes our community truly special. Sessions like this one help them feel more confident and connected, enabling them to provide care that genuinely uplifts those we support.

During these sessions, carers also have the opportunity to reflect on their own experiences, share tips, and encourage each other, creating a warm and supportive atmosphere where everyone's voice is valued.

The room was filled with smiles, thoughtful conversations, and a shared sense of purpose. These moments remind us of why we do what we do;care is more than just a job; it’s a community built on trust and kindness.

Our Commitment to Dementia Care

Dementia impacts many lives, and we take pride in supporting families with carers who are not only skilled but also compassionate and understanding. Ongoing training ensures that everyone we support receives the respect, patience, and love they deserve.

If you or someone you care about is living with dementia and needs assistance, we are here to help. Contact us to learn more about our dementia care services.
