Become a Home Carer With Care & Carers
Visit people in their own homes and help them live safely and independently, with your travel time, mileage and training all paid. As a Home Carer, no two visits are exactly the same. This is a role with real responsibility, but you are not expected to do it without support.

What does a Home Carer do?
As a Home Carer, you visit people in their own homes and provide the support they need to continue living safely and independently. Depending on the person's care plan, your work may include:
Helping with washing, dressing and personal care
Supporting medication routines
Preparing meals and drinks
Helping someone move around safely
Providing companionship and reassurance
Supporting shopping or everyday activities
Helping someone maintain their normal routines
Recording the care you provide
Reporting concerns or changes in someone's wellbeing

Home Carer Pay
£13.50 to £18.70 per hour, plus full travel time and 45p per mile mileage

Our care service operates from 7am to 10pm, Monday to Sunday, and we build working patterns around your availability. Full-time and part-time positions are both available. Whatever hours you can offer, it is worth getting in touch so we can talk about what would fit.
learning & support
We pay you for training
Starting a new care role involves learning, and we believe that time should be recognised. Your required training time with Care & Carers is paid. Induction and training are free, with no hidden costs. Depending on your role, training can cover areas including:
Safeguarding
Medication
Moving and handling
Infection prevention
First aid
Dementia awareness
Mental Capacity Act
Food hygiene
Care records and reporting
You will also receive ongoing support and development as part of the Care & Carers team, including opportunities to work towards NVQs and other professional qualifications.
